We are about to give birth!

It feels like I am 38 weeks “pregnant” in many ways, LOL! We are on this timeline leading up to a hard stop with open house, dedication and ribbon cutting for our new space in Manheim, on Sunday, August 13th, from 2-5pm. We must stay on schedule in order to finish on time! Whew! It is coming together and we are excited!! Here are a few pics of the progress.

I am so grateful for our dedicated volunteers who put IKEA furniture together, did carpentry work and are continuing to help us do what it takes to get it done! Only a few are in these pictures. Also, many contractors have been doing excellent work, which we are thankful for.

These four guys are from Esh’s Electric and they are all my nephews! It’s so cool to have their company be a part of our construction. It’s definitely a family affair!

Our Manheim families are so pumped and excited for Cavod to open its doors to many more families, and make a bigger impact in this community! Our staff is gearing up for this new facility, and preparing to welcome our students at both New Holland and Manheim!

Please join us for our open house! WJTL will be live, and so much more! See the flyer below for all of the details!

We are so grateful for all of the donations that have come in for this project, $272,327 to date! We still have $140,673 to go to meet our goal! Please keep this in prayer, and CLICK HERE if you would like to give a tax-deductible donation. Thank you!!!

So much has been happening this month at Cavod in New Holland. Here is a brief recap….

“Elf” Jr. 2 week summer camp – 49 kids every day, to put up a marvelous show! They took the time to worship through the stressful times. That is what sets Cavod apart!

Our “Trip Around the World” Camp – 40 kids in the morning, and 50 in the afternoon! Their day consisted of dance, music, gymnastics, snacks and crafts. It was a fun week, celebrating and pulling out the talents of the kids and doing a closing performance for their families! This was such a great week with our amazing teachers!

Summer Dance Intensive – students came from all over to train from our guest teachers. It was a fabulous week of learning, worshipping the Lord through dance, and building new friendships!

Did you hear me say “Newsies”? Lincoln, who is 16 years old and has been a student at Cavod for many years was in “Newsies” at Dutch Apple! Yes, he is one of our talented kids, and we had the privilege of seeing him perform with our wonderful sponsors Lee & Jenny Shaffer, Earl & Verna Martin, and Wolfe & Arlene Andrews! Lincoln was amazing!! What a joy to watch this young man dance, and see the joy of the Lord on his face! He is openly serving Jesus and sharing His faith with others! We are so proud of him!

Dave & I were able to get away for a week to Ocean City, MD. We had to do some work, but we didn’t mind! We were away together, and enjoyed some much needed rest and relaxation before we were emersed in the construction of our Manheim, PA location.

And lastly…here are a few thoughts that I jotted down in my journal during worship last Sunday that I felt the Lord nudging me. Perhaps you can relate?

  • Reset! Reboot! Get into a place of being able to hear God. Be still in His presence.
  • Let go of trying to figure things out.
  • Let go of your need to understand.
  • Don’t let the things & disfunctions of this world creep in and steal your joy!
  • Smile! Laugh! Joy brings healing!

“But those who wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength;

They shall mount up with wings like eagles,

They shall run and not be weary,

They shall walk and not faint!”   Isaiah 40:31

Prayer – “Thank you Lord! You are amazing! You are our redeemer, our Savior, who never fails. Help us to let go and trust you, as you ask us to do things that are out of our comfort zone. May we take the time this week to reset, clear our minds and get our strength from you, and you will take care of the rest.” In Jesus Name, amen!

Take time to smile, laugh and be thankful this week! It’s contagious! And if you need a cup of coffee to give you a boost, that helps too! Have a wonderful week, and I hope to see you August 13th! 😊

Love,
