Special Needs Classes

We believe that dance and the arts are fantastic tools to engage the mind and body to express ourselves no matter what skill level or ability creatively. Our goal is to make every student feel valued!
The two special needs programs offered are called Friends in Motion and Friends in Motion Junior.
These programs are for teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and meet once a week.

Summer At Cavod

Cavod Performing Arts's camps provide students with a fun escape while growing in their skills and stimulating their minds. We want to provide a fun-filled summer experience for students of all ages!

Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre is an art form that blends the dramatic elements of theatre, such as physical expression, with the colorful and bright aspects of music, such as singing and dancing. Ballet

Cavod offers Ballet Classes at their New Holland, PA, and Manheim, PA locations.
Cavod believes that by combining the strengths of foundational schools of dance such as Cecchetti, ABT, and Vaganova Syllabli, we can finely tune our students so that they are ready to enter the world of dance. In showing the proper execution of each step and the artistry of each movement, we can train a generation of diverse and well-rounded ballet dancers so that they are ready to pursue a professional dance career.   Register for a ballet class here

Modern Dance Classes

Both Cavod's New Holland, PA, location and Manheim, PA, location offer Modern Dance Classes.
Cavod offers a variety of Modern Dance Classes for different age groups and skill levels:

Modern Dance classes at Cavod blend ballet technique with freedom of movement and expression. You know we do! We offer several options for summer camps in the arts! Kids camps, musical theatre camps, dance intensive training, a camp for teens and young adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities… and more! All the HOT summer info is HERE!
We offer two Visitor’s Weeks each year where friends and family are invited into our rooms to observe class. You can come in person or virtually, but classroom visits may only take place during these two weeks. During classes, we invite you to enjoy our café or playroom while you wait for your child.
Please stay home if you are sick…but you don’t have to miss class! All our spaces are equipped with high quality computers, cameras, microphones, and TVs for virtual classes! Only registered students can take virtual classes and they are not available for tumbling, acro, or pointe classes for safety reasons. We don’t offer make up classes or refunds if you must miss a class.
We get it. Life happens. We just require 30 days’ notice to inform us that you need to drop. You are welcome to keep attending during that time, we will adjust your final monthly payment to reflect the end of the 30 days. If you have already paid bi-annually or annually, we do not offer refunds, but you can use the money you have paid toward another class or even summer camp in the same fiscal year!
We offer Risk-Free Registration! How it works: Register and pay. Attend the first class after your registration. Tell us if you don’t love it after you’ve taken your first class (must be before the next class) and we will refund your payment, unenroll your student, or transfer them to a different class.
Masks are optional for all.

All classes and private lessons during the school year have a $30 registration fee per student to offset the cost of administration. Group class tuition starts at $68 per month. Private lesson tuition is $35 per half hour. We have 3 payment options for you: pay the total annual cost for 5%discount, or two bi-annual payments for a 3% discount, or an even monthly payment for your convenience. Yes! We take new enrollments all the way through the fall. Please plan to join us before Christmas break! After that our classes are shifting from learning technique to creating class choreography.

Vocal Technique

Cavod offers Vocal Technique and Harmony classes at our Manheim, PA, location and New Holland, PA, location.
Cavod offers three Vocal Technique and Harmony classes:
Students of all skill levels will develop a solid technique for long-term and safe singing through this class, an essential trait for any professional singer. Sight singing practice will help class members become better at learning new music and keeping pitch when on a harmony part. In this class, students will be pushed out of their comfort zones to become more comfortable with performing on stage, going out for auditions and general public speaking. Cavod's Vocal Technique and Harmony Class is a group voice class that covers many aspects of singing and speaking. Theatre

That’s ok! You do not need to print your tickets. You will be able to check in by reservation name when you arrive at the theatre.
All tickets are non-refundable. If you would like to exchange your tickets for an alternate performance of the same show, you must contact the theatre no later than 72 hours prior to the date printed on the tickets in your possession. Children sitting in their own seat must have a purchased ticket. If the child is going to sit on a lap for the full performance, a ticket is not needed.
Most of our tickets are general admission. For an extra cost, you can purchase ‘reserved seats’ and you will be guaranteed a seat in first three rows. We will assign seats based on time of purchase.
General admission means that seats are not assigned ahead of time; they are first come, first serve. You may arrive 45 minutes prior to the performance to choose your own seat when you enter the theatre.

Jazz is an upbeat and physically demanding type of dance that has a dynamic style. Dance studies for the class include musical awareness, conditioning, theatrics, turns, and leaps. Students that devote themselves to these studies will learn to move with grace while maintaining good posture. Theatre Classes

Theatre acting classes can be a great way to improve your theatrical skills and develop confidence. They also provide you with an opportunity to meet new people, learn about the cultures and improve social skills alongside acting technique, vocal power, other valuable skills.
Our theatre acting students perform a class showcase for friends and family towards the end of June! There is no extra ticket cost for these performances.

The best place to start learning how to act is by taking lessons with an experienced teacher. Well, we don’t have “Performing Arts” in our name for nothing! Dance and Acro classes perform in the Spring Dance Concert in June. In addition to selling tickets to that off-site performance, there is a costume fee between $70-$95 per class due in the fall and we do a fundraiser to help offset the costs for you.

Worship Dance

At Cavod, there are specific forms of dress that we utilize for worship dance: Options for girls:
  • Any solid color leotard and black leggings OR longer length (at least mid-thigh) black biker shorts
  • A solid color, plain t-shirt or Cavod shirt over the leotard is acceptable
  • Hair pulled back neatly and securely in ponytail
Options for boys:
  • Cavod shirt or any solid color, plain shirt with black dance pants or black athletic shorts with compression shorts

Tap Dance

Time steps, basic steps, and other tap dancing moves improve the students' sense of balance, core strength, and agility.
Cavod offers classes for people ages 4 to adult. The classes are broken down by beginner, intermediate, and advanced skill levels.
Cavod offers tap classes emphasizing Broadway and hoofer-style tap. Classes include warm-up, center and traveling exercises, and learning choreographed combinations. Students are taught tap vocabulary, rhythm construction, and syncopation.
Tap Classes teach tap dancing, one of the older forms of dance. Tap Dancing involves making percussive sounds with the feet, often using metallic caps on the tap shoe of the tap dancer to accentuate the sharp clicks and clacks dancers use to stomp out a rhythm.

Acrobatic Arts

All acro classes aim to prepare students to advance through conditioning exercises, such as push-ups and core exercises, and placing value on proper form and execution.

Acro classes 1-3 and Junior Acro are taught by our certified acrobatics arts instructor, Shenandoah Hall. Students will be introduced to the basic principles of acrobatics and gymnastics, including balance, coordination, strength, flexibility, and control. Students learn proper technique for forwards rolls, cartwheels, round-offs, front and back-handsprings, walkovers, handstands, and aerials.
Acrobatic Arts, also commonly known as acro, is a style of dance that combines acrobatic and gymnastic elements with dance technique. It is known for its athleticism and seamless blend of dance and acrobatic skills.

Adult Classes

Our instructors are professional performers who have years of teaching experience in their field. We also offer private lessons to help you perfect your technique or learn new skills.
Our dance studio offers a variety of dance styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, ballroom dancing, and more!
