Dress Code

Part of the discipline of dance and acrobatics is coming to class prepared, dressed neatly, and in the proper attire. We believe our dress code improves the quality of our students’ education. By making dancewear simple and uniform, teachers can more clearly see student’s placement and therefore make more accurate corrections regarding movements and positions.

You will find on this document that some dress code items are only available for purchase from the Cavod Boutique (located at the front desk at either location) for your convenience. Please reach out with any questions.

We will send out specific boutique hours during the summer via email. Please take advantage of these summer times as we will not be fitting anyone for the boutique during the first week of classes so we can focus on helping our families find their studios.

Street clothes that are form fitting and allow for movement can be worn to class until boutique items are purchased.

General Guidelines:

  • Girls/Ladies: Do not wear underwear underneath tights. No bras underneath your leotard unless it is a dance bra with clear straps that matches the line of your leotard. No low-cut necklines or cut out leotards.
  • No jewelry except for stud or small hoop earrings.
  • Please wear warmups, skirt, or t-shirt over leotards when not in class.
  • Dance class warmups need to be solid in color and fitted (no baggy/hooded sweatshirts). Warmups must be removed at teacher request.

–For dance and acro classes in the Spring Dance Concert, there will be an additional costume fee of $70-$95. Deposits will be due October 31st and the balance due November 26th. —
