Quiet Trust

Grandchildren are such a blessing, and great therapy for me! These past few weekends have been filled with basketball games, a birthday party, sleepover, and a trip to the science factory. Their unconditional love, hugs and laughter have been exactly what I needed!

We enjoyed an upscale dinner at Citronnelle’s in Lancaster, where our grandson Jeremiah is working as an assistant to the chef! So cool! (He was too busy for a picture.)

Life can get so busy, our minds swirling out of control with our to-do lists, responsibilities, vision…and on and on, that we lose sight of what we are here for! Anxiety wants to creep in and make us feel inadequate and that nothing we do is enough. I found myself in this place this last month, as I was digging my way through unanswered emails and catching up from being in South Africa and sick for the last 6 weeks.

When this happens, we need to renew our minds first by reading and speaking the word of God out loud. Wake up every morning saying…”I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”! Repeat this out loud throughout your day. Begin changing your thoughts of defeat to thoughts of faith! As faith begins to arise, you will see the shift happen. I am thankful for the grace of God that carries us through every season of life.

At Cavod, we are ready to shed those coats and welcome spring! In the meantime, our students are finding comfort in the warmth of the studios where they are preparing for the dance recital in June and hanging on to the hope of summer! Their community and friends at Cavod are bringing them through another winter.

Our Theatre community at Cavod is working hard to put up this delightful show of Anastasia! Such a great, inspiring show and fun for the whole family! You won’t want to miss it!! Actors have come from as far as York, and all over Lancaster County to bring their talents…dancing, singing, acting, costuming etc. to the stage! I heard someone say…”Bold faith rest on the shoulders of quiet trust”. I love this! We don’t need to work for our faith, but let go, sit quietly in His presence and trust Him. This is what builds our faith to weather the storms of life and come out victorious!
