Choose life!

The Lord’s eye is upon me because I fear Him (I revere and worship Him with awe), I wait for Him and hope in His mercy and loving kindness – Psalm 33:18. Dave & I were having a discussion this morning, of how sad it is with everything going on in the world right now. It’s easy to get distracted and be discouraged. We must guard our minds, what we watch and listen to, be careful with social media, or we can soon lose hope. We can CHOOSE to pray and intercede for our nation and leaders, or we can CHOOSE to be negative, conspiracy seekers, and lose our peace!!

Below are 6 keys I have found to restore hope and peace that you might find helpful.

  • Draw near to the Lord and seek Him. Surrender.

  • Cry out to Him for a spiritual awakening in our nation, starting first with me.

  • Guard your thoughts and speak the word of God and His promises over your life.

  • Enjoy each day, being thankful for what we DO have in this great land.

  • Make time for your family and friends, and meaningful relationships. Have fun!

  • Life is short! Be intentional…making each moment count!

My “love tank” was filled this past weekend by spending time with family and grandchildren. We had sleep overs all weekend, froze at Ethan’s (our grandson) soccer game on Saturday…lol, painted eggs, lots of giggles and fun, and a great day celebrating the goodness of Jesus and His resurrection! (Yes, a week later, to accommodate schedules.)

Some of our Easter traditions are…a piñata, treasure hunt, and egg hunt. As the grands get older the plastic eggs get filled with less coins and the bills change to higher amounts. LOL!! That’s the key for keeping the older ones involved, and the love it! They have fun doing all of the silly things with the younger grandchildren! So so cute!! Dave & I were able to get away for a week in Sarasota, Florida a couple of weeks ago. It was a “work” trip, as I was busy editing my book. It is impossible for me to concentrate at home with all of my responsibilities. At least I had a great view of the water, along the bay. Water is my love language! We had time to pray, take in the morning sunrise, and have time with sweet friends!! Confession – “May the God of my hope so fill me with all joy and peace in believing (through the experience of my faith) that by the power of the Holy Spirit I may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.”  Romans 15:13. Have a wonderful week, with a cup of coffee, of course!

Much love,

Connie Dienner

Executive Director
