‘Tis the Season!

My coffee time this morning was a perfect combination of hot tub, scriptures, and friends!
The verses I am “chewing” on this week are from Psalm 1:1-2.
But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.
They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season.
Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all!
I love these verses! The Word of God is so powerful, and gives life and hope in every season. As we take time to spend in His Word, we see our lives change and our thoughts and minds will line up with His will! Life happens…we get busy…tired and we run out of energy. If we stop, breathe, “soak in His Presence” and meditate on His Word, we are refreshed and renewed! Try it! It’s amazing!
I also had coffee and an accountability meeting with my sweet friends. Such a joy!

Cavod's Executive Director Connie Dienner and Artistic Director of Theatre, Monica DePaul at Cavod's 2023 production of the Sound of Music

Amazing… did I say amazing??? The hills are alive…Doe a dear, a female dear…Climb every mountain…these songs are ringing in my ear as we are in the middle of a two weekend run of The Sound of Music! Such a beautiful show! Our very own Artistic Director of Theatre, Monica DePaul plays the part of Mother Abbess and leads the nuns into the most beautiful songs, as they watch over Maria!
I am obsessed with this show and so are our audiences! Only one more weekend left to see this show!

FUN FACT!
We opened the show with a sold out dinner theatre Friday evening. Here is a picture of our friends at our table!
Steve & Leona Smucker on the left, and Marlin & Freida Huyard on the right were the original elders almost 2 years ago who held an auction on a Sunday morning at our church… asking people to give to help Cavod get off the ground! Steve, in an auctioneer style…”Who will give $100 dollars, how about $500, a thousand” and so on. Within 10 minutes we had $11,000 we reached our goal, to remodel the little 800 sq. ft barn with a pole in the middle! LOL! This was our humble beginnings! We opened up our first Cavod on the Welsh Mountain, in Gap, of August 2004. May we never lose sight of what God has done in almost 20 years!

Here is a reminder to slow down…breathe and tap into the peace that only Jesus gives, as you surrender daily to His will and take time to be in His presence! This is the only safe place to rest!

Prayer: Dear Lord, we acknowledge our need of you, as life wants to pull us in so many directions. We are sorry for the times we have neglected reading your Word, and fall into the trap of business. Forgive us Lord, and help us God to keep our eyes on you! You will keep us in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you!
Have a joyous week!! Much love to you all!
