June Updates

This past Saturday morning, Dave and I snuck away for a little coffee date at CoffeeCo. We love that place—and even more, we love the owners John and Heidi. They’ve been such faithful friends and generous sponsors of Cavod over the years. (Be sure to check out a few pictures below of their beautiful space and hear a bit about their story!)
As we sipped our coffee, we found ourselves reflecting on the goodness of God and all He has done in just the past week. We packed out three recitals, each with over 1,000 people in attendance. Can you believe it?! Our incredible students danced their hearts out, and the atmosphere was filled with passion, purpose, and praise to our God! We are wrapping up 20 amazing years of Cavod and this recital weekend truly felt like a celebration of God’s faithfulness!
It was a full-circle moment for me personally—six of my grandchildren performed this year! Seeing their joy and watching them give their talents back to the Lord filled this grandma’s heart to the brim. 💕 We managed to get a picture of our family, the ones who were there. I am always amazed how our older grandsons love to come and support their siblings. So sweet!
And now, just two more days and we’re off to Africa on Wednesday! I am going with our Cavod Missions team of 18 to lead arts camps for 500 children… 300 in Kenya and 200 in Cape Town. We’ll be teaching workshops in Hip Hop, Contemporary Worship, Musical Theatre Jazz, Vocals/Worship, Drums, Acrobatics, Art, Spoken Word, Scrapbooking and Basketball. We share the love of Jesus through small groups, worship, teaching, and personal prayer time with them. They are so desperate and hungry for the gospel!
Would you pray for us?
🙏 For safety, health, and smooth flight connections
🙏 For open hearts, healing, and salvations
🙏 For these precious kids… many of whom come from the streets, gangs, children’s homes, or local churches… that they would experience the transforming love of Jesus.
We’ll be posting updates on Cavod’s social media, so stay tuned!
A verse that’s been heavy on my heart is Isaiah 61:1–3. It reminds me of what we’ve been called to do:
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me… to proclaim good news to the poor… to bind up the brokenhearted…
to comfort all who mourn… and to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes…”
This is our mission. This is why we go!
Back at Cavod, summer is in full swing!
Mark your calendars for our Annual Open House in New Holland on Saturday, July 12th. It’s always a great time for families to connect and check out what’s new! There will be performances, WJTL LIVE, free food, a bounce house, give-aways and more! See the details below!
Also, classes for the 2025–26 school year begin August 25th and are already filling quickly—some even have waitlists. Don’t wait to register!
And if you’re still looking for something meaningful, fun, and faith-filled for your kids this summer, don’t forget to check out our Summer Camps below!
My prayer for you is that this summer is full of rest, joy, family, and sweet moments with the Lord.
Much love,
