Back in time! Christmas?

Take me home, country roads, to the place, I belong!!!….not West Virginia, but Indiana! Yes, we took a trip to Indiana last weekend, to attend my amazing theatre teacher’s 4 hour memorial service! His legacy lives on and on in the lives of so many around the world, including myself. Mr. Trueblood introduced me to the stage as a little Mennonite girl, in high school, which made such a huge impact on my life, and gave me vision of reaching people through the performing arts. He valued each and every student, and pulled out the best in each of us!  I love, love, how dance, music and theatre give a place for individuals to find their true identity, and use their God-given talents to glorify the Lord!

So back to the present, it felt like Christmas at Cavod last week!
So much chatter, laughing and expectations as our students received their packet with an evaluation of their progress from each teacher! Just so cool, to see their faces light up, as their teachers wrote encouraging words, and areas they have yet to excel in! They received our schedule of over 120 classes that are offered each week starting in August, along with an announcement of a few new and exciting teachers we are adding to our staff! They are laughing, sharing with each other and planning their schedule with their friends, over a smoothie in our café!
