Be still….Things came to a screeching halt last Friday evening for me. I was at the fair with my grandkids, having a blast, even on the Ferris wheel. LOL! I don’t do heights, and yet they begged me to go with them. It was a stretch but so fun! That evening, I started with a fever and chills. I developed a terrible head cold and sinus infection, and I had to cancel most everything for the week. I believe the Lord was saying…”Be Still…Come away with Me, and I will give your body and mind a much-needed rest! In that way, it was a blessing!

Fair season has suddenly come upon us. Cavod had a float in both New Holland & Manheim parades, and they were a smashing success! I missed the Manheim parade on Wed eve. This is the first one ever, that I have missed in 19 years! But “the show must go on,” and so it did! In fact, in Manheim… our float placed 1st for the best non-profit youth float, and in New Holland…we placed 3rd for the most beautiful outstanding float! So exciting! It was so cool to see our students dancing on the tractor-trailer!

This is one of my favorite events we do. The music blared, and people clapped as we made our way down the streets of these two towns, dancing to songs of FREEDOM, proclaiming the good news of Jesus!!

I am so thankful for the Word of God, which brings hope and gives us a firm foundation for all seasons of life! More than ever, we need to fix our eyes on Jesus, have alone times with Him…to fall more in love with Him and build our faith!

Psalm 84: 5-7 Blessed is the man whose strength is in You. Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.
As they pass through the Valley of Baca (a type of plant that can survive in dry conditions)
They make it a spring; The rain also covers with pools.
They go from strength to strength;
Vs 11,12 The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
O Lord of hosts, Blessed is the man who TRUSTS in YOU!

We are on the brink of some great events at Cavod!

Prayer – “Dear Lord, help us to be “hungry” for your Word. May we experience your peace in these uncertain times. May we have courage and trust in You! Lord, be with the people of Israel! Please end this war, and protect these precious people!! Blind the eyes of the enemy! Strengthen the Christians there and I pray many w ould come to know Jesus through these times! Thank you for your mercies, that are new every morning! Great is your faithfulness, oh Lord! In Jesus Name, Amen!”

Be strong in the Lord, my friends! May you fly like eagles and be strengthened this week!

Much love, with a cup of coffee,

Connie Dienner
