Just BE!

Starting the Day with Stillness and Prayer

I am turning the early morning hours of not being able to sleep into a quiet, restful place, with a cup of coffee with the Lord. It’s been in that place of listening… being still… taking communion… that I have found surrender and peace. And as I mediate on His word, I find strength and confidence.

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,

Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he MEDITATES day and night.

He shall be like a tree, planted by the rivers of water,

That brings forth fruit in its season, Whose leaf shall not wither

And whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm 1:1-3

I LOVE THESE VERSES! I have found this to be the secret to letting go of anxiety… meditating on God’s word, and allowing it to transform our minds. It takes away a critical spirit, control, and all of the noise of this world. It is worth the time and effort to BE. Just to BE, and allow the Holy Spirit to change us.

Trusting in God’s Provision

As I was in this place of quiet desperation this week, the Lord spoke clearly to me, that I am not trusting Him with the fundraising at Cavod. That I need to believe Him to do MORE instead of less. My conversation with God…

“Oh God!  I am so sorry for doubting your provision and being afraid of setting my goal too high. I will put the goal back to $80,000 (like other years) instead of $65,000 for our day of ThanksGIVING and I will let the results up to you. Thank you for speaking to me!”

This is a huge day for Cavod! Will you pray and believe with me, that God will do more than we can ask or think? It is a one day event this Friday, November 15^th, at Cavod Theatre. We have matching funds coming in… where every dollar given will be doubled! So if you give $100 you are actually giving $200, THANKS TO OUR GENEROUS DONORS!!!

Celebrating Cavod’s 20-Year Milestone

EVERYONE is invited to join us for a big celebration on Friday Evening from 6:00pm-10:00 pm to celebrate Cavod’s 20 year anniversary and His provision! You will have an opportunity to donate, too! There will be FREE pizza, cookies and drinks, performances, and fun! We have a DJ, a dance party at 8:00, and from 9:00-10:00 we are ending with LIVE worship with our worship team to give HIM ALL OF THE GLORY! It’s going to be a powerful time!

Congratulations & Celebrations

CONGRATULATIONS to Jenn and Mark on a beautiful wedding! Jenn is a faithful dear mom, and mother of Emily, one of our dear students who has been taking classes at Cavod for 13+ years! Emily choreographed a powerful dance and performed it at the ceremony with a few of her friends from Cavod! So beautiful!

We CELEBRATED a huge win with our grandson Isaiah, the quarterback… leading Garden Spot to victory on their last game of the season! He had an incredible season! And Jude plays an important position as cornerback! We couldn’t be more proud of them!

And our family was at our house for a Birthday Celebration for three birthdays! It filled this grandma’s heart! Here is a photo of all our grands with our son Aaron, who fits in so well! LOL! He is such a fun uncle! And of course, the Eagles game was the entertainment for these crazy Eagles fans! LOL!

I pray you have a wonderful and amazing week as you just BE… true to who you are, having times of rest with the Word of God, allowing Him to bring cleansing and refreshment to your soul… so that YOU WILL BE UNSHAKABLE with peace and rest! He is EL SHADDAI… MORE THAN ENOUGH IN EVERY AREA OF YOUR LIFE!
