In The Stretching

This month has been full… so much life, so much happening… and through it all, I’m reminded how present God is in every moment!

We celebrated Easter with our family (which already feels like ages ago!) with a beautiful day and a simple backyard barbecue, full of laughter and time together. Everyone was there! This is my happy place when all nineteen of us are together.

Shortly after, we traveled to New York City for Project Dance, and this year Dave joined us for the first time, which made it extra special.

Our teams, Ornate and Citylight, were incredible as they danced in Times Square, sharing the love of Jesus in such a powerful and public way. So many stopped, watched, and were encouraged, it was truly unforgettable!

In the midst of all of this, we are in a significant season at Cavod. We currently have three fundraisers happening at once, alongside our Mannheim expansion, adding 6,000 square feet!

• Cavod Gala – Happening this Friday evening at the theatre! This is always such a beautiful and meaningful night, celebrating all that God has done!

• Chicken Barbecue – In front of the Grocery Outlet Parking lot, Wednesday, May 6th from 11:00–5:30 or until we sell out. You can drive through or CLICK HERE to place a pre-order.  It is our traditional Chicken BBQ with my family’s yummy, secret bbq sauce! NO COOK WEDNESDAY!

It’s a lot and if I’m honest, this season has stretched me.

I keep coming back to Isaiah 54:2-3: “Enlarge the place of your tent… stretch your curtains wide…”

That word stretch has felt very real in this season. And while it isn’t always easy, it has drawn me into deeper dependence on the Lord.

Psalm 33 reminds us: “Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield…”

Maybe you’re in a stretching season, too, where things feel uncertain, heavy, or even bigger than what you feel equipped for. I want to gently remind you that our hope is in Jesus. He is our strength, our help, and our firm foundation.

In this season, I find myself praying often, “I choose to trust You, God.” Not because it’s always easy, but because He is always faithful. ALWAYS FAITHFUL!

We also took a few days to attend the Dove International Leadership Conference at Sandy Cove. It was such a refreshing time with friends and missionaries, where the Lord truly refilled us with “Fresh Oil, Fresh Wine”, which was the theme! We were blessed with a dance by Lysion & Meredith Vieira, our teachers from Cavod!
