Happy 20th Birthday, Cavod Performing Arts!

Celebrating Two Decades of Faith, Family, and Creativity

Balloons, bubbles, and dancing because there’s a birthday!!! We are celebrating 20 years of Cavod’s humble beginnings that started back in 2004!

Our float was filled with girls dancing to CELEBRATE! Good Times… I’VE GOT JOY, You keep me dancing in every season!… THIS IS THE GOSPEL! This is the good news, how He saved you!… GIVE HIM PRAISE! For the Lord has done great things!… these are a few of the words of the songs that blared over the loud speakers on the float, all the while the huge tractor trailer was moving down the streets of the New Holland and Manheim Parades as the girls danced their hearts out!

Looking Back with Gratitude

In the midst of the business, we managed to slip in a weekend away to visit my older brother, Paul, and his wife Ellie in Goshen, Indiana.

We had a beautiful time catching up, reminiscing good times, and spending an evening with two of their married children. I was the flower girl in my brother’s wedding, which made me the greatest little auntie to their kids. LOL! It was good for the soul to reconnect and have a blast watching the Alabama game outside, while Dave was back and forth keeping the Phillies foremost on his mind! 😊

We came home and dove into a busy couple of weeks at Cavod!

Back to the Stage with Mary Poppins

A Prayer for Peace and Purpose

As this season is a busy time for me, the Lord reminded me of a few verses in Hebrews 4 that got my attention:

Hebrews 4:7,11.

Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.

Let us be be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall…

This was a nudge and a wake up call for me. I need to slowwww down… and do some self care or I won’t be there for anyone. Spending time with the Lord and resting doesn’t mean we stop. It means to pause… find a quiet place to be refreshed in His presence and in His word. It also means for me, to trust Him, guard against fear… let go… TAKE COURAGE! As I continue to lead this ministry and the vision that He has given me, it is only possible through prayer and His supernatural provision and strength.

Some of our greatest accomplishments come out of rest.

If we knew that, we’d fight for it more.” -Bill Johnson

Prayer – “Dear Lord, we want to rest in your peace and presence. Help us to take time to stop… rest… and block out the noise that easily distracts us. I speak to anxiety to leave in Jesus’ Name. May our thoughts be of courage, faith, and hope in every situation. We choose to let go of lies that easily take us away from our purpose and calling! Dear Lord, show us great and mighty things that we do not know… and surprise us Lord! We love you so much! In Jesus Name, Amen!”

Thank you for having “coffee” with me today, and for allowing me to be vulnerable. I pray that all of our “coffee partners” have an amazing day, full of hope and courage!!

Hugs,
Executive Director
