I love this quote, that I saw on social media.
Well…we sure did a lot of that, last weekend! Five of my girlfriends from high school and I met in Florida for a girls weekend. We all graduated in 1979, from the small town of Salem, Indiana.(do the math…that’s how old we are. ) We called ourselves the “Big Six”. We now live in 6 different states, meeting every other year to do something fun and to catch up. It is though we were never apart! We reminisce about the “good ole days”, and laugh about our present age, although we feel in our hearts we are still 21! LOL! It was so much fun! I surprised the girls by hiring a private chef to make the most delicious Surf & Turf meal that you can imagine! We felt pampered as he served a 4 course meal. Below are a few pics of our getaway.
I was met with a warm welcome from our staff and Cavod Family, as I adjusted to getting back to the studio last Tuesday. What a delight to see that Cavod has grown beyond me. We have the most amazing leaders, staff, volunteers, students families, donors and friends to make up this amazing community at Cavod!
I am excited to tell that that we have a good start on our “Adopt a Student” program! 8 students have been sponsored so far! We have 32 more students who need a sponsor. Would you consider partnering with us in this way? Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on this amazing opportunity. It is a direct way, to make a difference in the life of a child or teenager. Thank you in advance!
This Saturday, September 24 from 2pm-8pm, we are hosting our first ever, “Performing Arts Festival”, at Lititz Spring Park! It is a free outdoor performance, with dance, worship, music and a teaser from “A Tale of Two Cities”, by our talented cast! Come and stroll through the beautiful park, bring a picnic and enjoy this amazing day! Bring your family and friends and drop in anytime.
I need a drum role for this next update…..WE ARE HAVING OUR VERY FIRST EVER DINNER THEATRE! Yes, that’s right! I am so excited! It will be opening night of “A Tale of Two Cities”. It will be fully catered, with a beautiful sit down meal, meet the cast, hear from our off broadway stars in the show, and have a great evening! We have limited space, so get your tickets for this great evening! We will have tables of 8. Perhaps you could fill a table with your friends and family! Click on the graphics below for more information.
We also are gearing up for the New Holland Parade, Wednesday, September 28th, and the Manheim Parade, Wednesday, October 5th. Look for our float with a moving stage, with our kids performing on it. It’s one of my favorite events, as we dance to Christian music throughout the streets of our towns!
Thank you for being part of the Cavod Community! Together we can continue to make a difference in the lives of many, and change the culture of the arts, while bringing the glory back to our Creator! After all, He is the one who put this creativity inside of us in the first place.
Prayer – “Thank you Lord, for another week. Help us to learn how to take time for ourselves, and to build friendships and touch lives that will last for eternity. You are a good Father, even when we are weak, YOU ARE STRONG! You make all things work together for GOOD for those who love you! Thank you Jesus! Amen.”
“May the Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” Numbers 6:25-26.
Have a blessed week, with your cup of coffee!
