✨ Senior Spotlight | Araunah Boll ✨

Today we’re celebrating Araunah Boll and the beautiful journey she’s had at Cavod Performing Arts.

Araunah has been a treasured part of our community, and it’s been a joy to watch her grow in both her artistry and her faith. Her kind heart, joyful spirit, and genuine love for others have left a lasting impact on the Cavod family.

When asked what has shaped her most during her time at Cavod, Araunah shared:

“I would say the way everyone at Cavod has always accepted me and treated me like family from the very first day I took class has absolutely shaped me as a person and given me so much confidence to be who I am there, knowing I’ll be loved no matter what.”

Her favorite memory is one many of us can relate to:

“My favorite memory is probably my first Summer Dance Intensive at Cavod! Using dance as a way to worship the Lord was a totally new experience for me, and I thought watching other people use their art to give glory to God was just about the coolest thing ever.”

Looking ahead, she shared what she’ll carry with her:

“I know no matter where life takes me, I’ll always have the sweet friends I made during my time at Cavod.”

Araunah, thank you for sharing your gifts, your heart, and your joy with our community. It has been a privilege to be part of your journey, and we’re excited to see all that God has in store for you.

✨ Senior Spotlight | Jessica Umholtz ✨

Today we’re celebrating Jessica Umholtz and the beautiful journey she’s had at Cavod Performing Arts.

It has been a joy to watch Jessica grow over the years, both as an artist and as a young woman of faith. Her heart for learning, her dedication, and the way she has embraced every season have made her a valued part of the Cavod family.

When asked what she’ll take with her from her time at Cavod, Jessica shared:

“The many friendships I have gotten to be a part of, and the lessons in technique and the Bible from over the years have been a big takeaway for me. My favorite memory at Cavod is the year when there were only two other members in my adult modern class with Miss Victoria. She created a beautiful piece about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. That was my favorite class and dance piece. One lesson I have learned at Cavod is that God is not looking for the perfect performance or the perfect child, but He is looking for me and my heart.”

Jessica, thank you for the joy, faith, and commitment you’ve shared with our community. We are so grateful to have been part of your journey and are excited to see where God leads you next.

✨ Senior Spotlight | Aaliyah Lapp ✨

Today we’re celebrating Aaliyah Lapp and the impact she’s made during her time at Cavod Performing Arts. It has been a blessing to watch Aaliyah develop as both an artist and a young woman. Her determination, grace, and willingness to embrace each new challenge have made her a cherished part of our community.

💬 What about Cavod has shaped you the most?
“Cavod has truly shaped my walk with God and where my relationship with Him is today. It has shaped my dance technique and who I am as a dancer, but I’d say most importantly, it has played a huge part in my walk with the Lord. It has taught me a way to express my worship and praise to Jesus and even how to minister His love to others in a such a unique way.”

💭 Favorite Cavod memory?
“My favorite memories at Cavod are during class, when the teacher gives us space to freely worship and dance together and the Holy spirit ministers to us. It is so powerful the way He shows Himself through our movement and those moments I hold so close to my heart and will never forget.”

🌱 What will you take with you into your next chapter?
“Cavod has taught me so much over the years and I am so grateful for every quality that i have been able to build, such as leadership, discipline and commitment. But the biggest thing that has become part of who I am now, is learning to be excellent in everything i do. Whether big or small, I am passionate about doing everything with excellence and creating everything out of a heart to see the Lord glorified especially when it comes to the arts. Cavod will always be home and I am so thankful for every hour I have spent there and would never take back a single one.”

As she steps into this next season, we’re excited to see how God continues to lead her and use the gifts He’s placed within her. We are confident that the same passion and faithfulness she’s shown here will continue to shape the path ahead.

Today we celebrate the gift of freedom and give thanks for the opportunities we’ve been given to create, serve, and shine God’s light through the arts. 🇺🇸✨

As we gather with family and friends this Fourth of July, may we remember that true freedom is found in Christ. A freedom that fills us with hope, purpose, and love to share with the world.

Made to Shine is more than a camp—it’s a place where teens and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities can discover new talents, build meaningful friendships, express themselves through dance, music, theatre, and art, and be encouraged in the love of God.

This joyful week is designed to celebrate every unique gift in a welcoming, supportive environment where everyone is seen, valued, and encouraged to shine.

✨ Senior Spotlight | Katurah Martin ✨

Today we’re honored to celebrate Katurah Martin and all she’s accomplished during her time at Cavod Performing Arts.

💬 What about Cavod has shaped you the most?
“it has showed me how to not give up when it’s painful or hard, and to keep pressing in to the Lord, and dance it out!”

💭 Favorite Cavod memory?
“The relationships with the teachers and classmates.”

🌱 What will you take with you into your next chapter?
“To not give up, and whenever you don’t feel like showing up, show up with a cheerful attitude. The heart of worship, nothing else matters when you’re dancing for the Lord, any time something happens I will remember what my teachers taught me in worship, remember who you are doing this for and center your heart towards Him, that is where pure worship comes from!”

Katurah has been a wonderful part of our community, and it’s been a privilege to watch her grow in both her artistry and character. Her commitment, joyful spirit, and willingness to keep growing have been an encouragement to those around her.

As she begins this next chapter, we’re thankful for the memories we’ve shared and excited to see all that God has in store for her.

Congratulations, Katurah! Thank you for being such a special part of the Cavod family. We are so proud of you and will be cheering you on wherever your journey takes you. 🤍🎓
