June Updates
This past Saturday morning, Dave and I snuck away for a little coffee date atĀ CoffeeCo. We love that placeāand even more, we love the owners John and Heidi. Theyāve been such faithful friends and generous sponsors of Cavod over the years. (Be sure to check out a few pictures below of their beautiful space and hear a bit about their story!)

As we sipped our coffee, we found ourselves reflecting on theĀ goodness of GodĀ and all He has done in just the past week. We packed outĀ three recitals, each with overĀ 1,000 peopleĀ in attendance. Can you believe it?! Our incredible students danced their hearts out, and the atmosphere was filled withĀ passion, purpose, and praise to our God! We are wrapping upĀ 20 amazing years of CavodĀ and this recital weekend truly felt like aĀ celebration of Godās faithfulness!

It was a full-circle moment for me personallyāsix of my grandchildren performed this year!Ā Seeing their joy and watching them give their talents back to the Lord filled this grandmaās heart to the brim.Ā šĀ We managed to get a picture of our family, the ones who were there.Ā I am always amazed how our older grandsons love to come and support their siblings. So sweet!

And now, just two more days andĀ weāre off toĀ AfricaĀ on Wednesday! I am going with our Cavod Missions team of 18Ā to leadĀ arts camps for 500 children… 300 in Kenya and 200 in Cape Town. We’ll be teaching workshops in Hip Hop, Contemporary Worship, Musical Theatre Jazz, Vocals/Worship, Drums, Acrobatics, Art, Spoken Word, Scrapbooking and Basketball. We share the love of Jesus through small groups, worship, teaching, and personal prayer time with them. They are so desperate and hungry for the gospel!
Would youĀ pray for us?
šĀ For safety, health, and smooth flight connections
šĀ For open hearts, healing, and salvations
šĀ For these precious kids⦠many of whom come from the streets, gangs, childrenās homes, or local churches⦠that they would experience the transforming love of Jesus.
Weāll be posting updates on Cavodās social media, so stay tuned!
A verse thatās been heavy on my heart isĀ Isaiah 61:1ā3. It reminds me of what weāve been called to do:
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me… to proclaim good news to the poor… to bind up the brokenhearted…
to comfort all who mourn… and to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes…”
This is our mission. This is why we go!
Back at Cavod,Ā summer is in full swing!

Also, classes for theĀ 2025ā26 school yearĀ begin August 25th and are already filling quicklyāsome even have waitlists.Ā Donāt wait to register!
