This year our family managed to be at Cavod’s Christmas show, “Wonder” on the same evening, with the exception of little Andreas who was with the babysitter. Our four precious granddaughters were in the production! Here are a few pictures of our gang.
We also had the privilege of seeing “I Heard the Bells” with our youngest son Aaron & his wife Cara, this weekend! This was a proud parents moment, as Aaron was one of the lead videographers for this movie! Make Films, our son Derek’s company were co-producers with Sight & Sound to produce this amazing film! It’s been a while since I cried that much at a movie! This is such a touching true story of a man who went through so much hardship, dealing with grief, and yet came to an understanding of God’s love! This led Henry Wadsworth Longfellow to write one of the most well-known Christmas Carols we sing today! It is so powerful and well done! It is a must see!
Our Cavod Family, also was sharing the story of love & hope, through the show, “Wonder”. Three out of four shows were sold out! This talented cast touched our hearts as they performed so eloquently the original ballet that our very own Stephanie Morales wrote, created and directed! There were many tears last night after the last show, as the girls were sad it was all over. I am incredibly proud of each one, for their dedication and hard work! From the stunning costumes, to the beautiful lighting, sets, and outstanding cast, it was so well done!!
It takes a village to keep Cavod going. So many volunteers, teachers, invested parents, students and donors to make this a safe place to
“Create with Purpose”! A huge thank you to everyone who is partnering with us to make this happen!
As we are approaching the end of the year, I would ask that you would prayerfully consider Cavod for your year-end giving. Every donation small & large, makes a difference and is so appreciated! “ I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play.
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
And in despair I bowed my head:
“There is no peace on earth,” I said,
“For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.”
Till, ringing, singing on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime, a chant sublime,
Of peace on earth, good will to men!
I thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along th’unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep;
“God is not dead, nor doth he sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With peace on earth, good will to men.”
This song is my prayer this Christmas season. May we know and understand God’s peace and love.
Have a wonderful week, my friends. May you be encouraged and full of hope, with your cup of coffee this morning!
Love,
