We will be focusing on movement and technique inspired by Lester Horton and Martha Graham. Dancers must be at a high intermediate level or beyond to register. This 2-hour opportunity is only $20!

Meet the instructor:
Paiter van Yperen of Deep River CT, trained at Ekklesia School of Ballet in Connecticut. It was there at the age of 17 that Mr. van Yperen was offered his first professional contract with Ekklesia Contemporary Ballet where he held a company artist position for 4 seasons until serving as assistant director during the company’s 2016-2018 seasons and principal dancer in their 2018-2020 seasons. While assistant director he made his choreographic debut on the company with his work Unveiling Joy. Professionally Mr. van Yperen has performed and taught Ballet, Graham and Horton based modern, contemporary, and improvisational works and technique internationally with Ekklesia Contemporary Ballet, Ad Deum Dance Company, Inlet Dance Theater, Freddie Moore’s Footprints, Open Sky Arts Collective, and The Ailey School. He has had the honor of performing in works created by Alvin Ailey, Elisa Schroth, Durell Comedy, Vincent Hardy, Elizabeth McMillan, Leyna Doran, Freddie Moore, Hope Boykin, Randall Flinn, and Steve Rooks. Mr. van Yperen has also trained at the Martha Graham School and is in the process of finishing The Ailey School’s Certificate Program.
