We’re excited to introduce the incredible faculty for our Tap Intensive 2026! Join us for three evenings of focused training designed to challenge and inspire intermediate and advanced tap dancers as they grow in technique, musicality, speed, style, and artistry.

Whether you’re looking to sharpen your skills, expand your vocabulary, or deepen your love for tap, this intensive is for you!

✨Lamont Brown ✨

We are thrilled to welcome Lamont Brown to Cavod’s TAP INTENSIVE!

Lamont Brown is a Creative Director, Performer, and Choreographer from Long Island, New York, and a graduate of the Dance Theatre Conservatory at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City.

His performance career has taken him around the world, appearing in productions such as Chez Joey at Arena Stage (co-directed by Tony Goldwyn and Savion Glover), the First National Tours of Funny Girl and Mean Girls, 42nd Street, After Midnight with Norwegian Cruise Line, Riverdance at Radio City Music Hall, and guest appearances on Wu-Tang: An American Saga. His regional credits include Hairspray, Singin’ in the Rain, and Jared Grimes’ production of 42nd Street.

Throughout his career, Lamont has worked alongside some of Broadway’s most sought-after choreographers, including Casey Nicholaw, Josh Bergasse, Al Blackstone, Lorin Latarro, Jeff Whiting, Jason Sparks, Richard J. Hinds, Dewitt Fleming, Shannon Lewis, Mary Anne Lamb, and Lisa Gajda.

As the founder of LBCreatives LLC, Lamont produces, directs, and choreographs original works. His production Syncopated Avenue earned him the BroadwayWorld Regional Award for Best Choreography, and he also received BroadwayWorld’s awards for Best Direction and Best Choreography for Aida The Musical at Studio Theatre of Long Island.

An official Capezio Athlete and Omara Floor Ambassador, Lamont continues to make waves in the dance industry through his innovative work in tap, jazz, and hip hop.
