Zoe Shyda

Zoe has been dancing ever since she was 3 years old. She found her passion when she started dancing at Jonestown Dance Studio, a small studio in Jonestown, PA. There she trained in tap, jazz, ballet, modern, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and pointe. She was also part of their competition team and participated at various intensives over the years including Glorify Performing Arts and Encountered Heart Ministries. The last few years of her time dancing at Jonestown, she began teaching classes, ranging in age from 5-14. She discovered a passion for how faith and love for dance can work together when she started leading a worship dance team at Jonestown. She is currently continuing to lead this team, taking them to many local performances and outreaches! Immediately following her high school graduation, Zoe earned her NASM personal trainer’s certification after having a dance-related injury. This sparked a desire to help dancers and other athletes learn how to strength train to prevent injury! She now works at a Christian-owned gym where she gets to coach people of all ages and lead faith-based strength classes. When she graduated from Jonestown Dance Studio, Zoe knew she wanted to continue dancing, but in an environment that ultimately seeks to glorify God. So in the fall of 2025, she joined Ornate Dance Theatre at Cavod! That experience has fueled her passion for worshipping Jesus through dance and using it to touch others. She is so excited to teach at Cavod and for the opportunity to pour into her students, cultivating an environment of joy and love for the Lord!
