Based in Russia, main character, Leon, is ecstatic to find that he has landed the perfect teaching job in an idyllic Russian hamlet. When he arrives he is immediately stunned by the “bewildering” people surrounding him. With much comic relief, Leon is faced with a decision that could change his life.Â
